Adroit Extrusion is a prominent Manufacturer, Exporter and Supplier of AB and ABA Co-Extrusion Blown Film Machine across India.
We are based in Kheda, Gujarat, India.
Overview
Adroit Extrusion engineers AB and ABA Co-Extrusion Blown Film Machines to produce high-quality, cost-efficient plastic films while optimizing raw material usage.
By combining virgin, recycled resins and fillers like CaCO₃, these machines help manufacturers reduce production costs while maintaining excellent film strength, appearance, and performance.
The ABA configuration uses three layers (A/B/A), where the outer layers are made from virgin material for superior surface quality, and the core layer utilizes recycled material to reduce costs.
The AB configuration is ideal when two distinct layers or colors are required.
Working of AB & ABA Co-Extrusion Blown Film Machine
ABA Co-Extrusion Process
- A single, smaller extruder supplies both outer A-layers, processing only 30–40% virgin resin, running at a slower and controlled speed.
- A second extruder forms the B (core) layer, using recycled plastic resin and CaCO₃, significantly lowering material costs.
- The specially designed ABA die block merges the three layers into a single, uniform blown film.
- The result is a three-layer film with superior strength, smooth surface finish, and excellent printability on both sides.
AB Co-Extrusion Process
- Two extruders feed different materials or colors into the die.
- Produces a two-layer film ideal for applications like dual-color bags.
- The same line can be converted from ABA to AB by changing the die block, offering maximum flexibility.

FAQs:
Q1. What is the main advantage of ABA blown film over monolayer film?
ABA blown film is approximately 30% stronger, uses less virgin raw material, and provides better surface quality for printing on both sides.
Q2. Can recycled material be used without affecting film quality?
Yes. In ABA co-extrusion, recycled material is used only in the core layer, while the outer layers remain virgin, ensuring high-quality appearance and strength.
Q3. Is it possible to convert an existing AB line into an ABA line?
Yes. With a minor modification in the die block design, a traditional two-layer line can be converted into a three-layer ABA co-extrusion line.
Q4. Can the same machine produce both AB and ABA films?
Absolutely. By changing the die block, the machine can switch between ABA (three-layer) and AB (two-layer) configurations.
Q5. What industries benefit most from AB & ABA blown film machines?
Packaging, retail, FMCG, and industrial sectors benefit greatly due to cost savings, durability, and improved product value.
